Recently I sent what I call my “Tools.dbf” to two other Alpha Developers. The Email I got back said “Thanks—there’s some things in here I can use right away in my Applications”. In further discussion I asked is this something that others would be interested in seeing? The answer was yes, so here it is.
This is a very basic Sample Application, Menu Form, entry form & Reports; a ZIP File is included and can be downloaded. Reading the Message Board & seeing many new users having questions and problems and then, remembering back to myself as a new Alpha Three user, I thought this would be well worth the effort necessary to put some of my tools together. With the idea that others may find something useful to use for themselves.
I am just showing the 3 major forms, there are a couple more for dates that you can view & utilize if you download the Zip file. I added a lot of explanations to the forms so they, hopefully, will be pretty much self-explanatory.

A FIND button shows a browse letting you click on A-Z to show matching Members. A double-click on any name will return back to the calling form with that member’s data on the form. Copy & paste, make a couple of minor Script changes & use it anywhere.
Reports are printed after entering in a beginning/ending date or a Month & Year. Each report prints the Reporting period in the header. These date forms can be copied & pasted into any application – they are attached to my “Start” table.

Remember, many times Alpha Five gives you several ways to accomplish the same exact result. If you find something that works for you and you understand & like it, continue to use it.
